Verdant serves climate data with explicit units, spatial support, missingness, and source lineage. An agent describes the data it needs; the response includes the values and the evidence needed to interpret them. The current API serves two published public demo datasets: SILO maximum air temperature around Mildura on 1 January 2003, and CSIRO observed irrigation-program evidence from 2003–2005. These have different meanings and are not interchangeable.
1

Discover

Read capabilities and the dataset catalog to learn which operations and coverage actually exist.
2

Resolve

Check a query against published data. Pin the returned immutable dataset version.
3

Query

Receive data directly as JSON or CSV, with provenance and checksums.

Make your first query

Return real climate values in an HTTP response.

Public demo reads are free and need no API key. Acquisition, quotes, payments, and asynchronous delivery are not enabled yet. The capabilities endpoint is the authoritative feature inventory; valid syntax alone does not mean data is available.
The OpenAPI 3.1 specification and this reference are generated from the same shared runtime schemas. /api/v1 defines the major contract version. Additive fields may appear; clients should ignore fields they do not recognize.
